Taslima Hasan is a Toronto-based Bangladeshi writer, poet, and novelist. She began her literary career in 2000 with writings in the daily Janakantha, based in Dhaka, and has since authored 14 books spanning poetry, short stories, novels, and memoirs. Her work explores memory, human relationships, social realities, and especially the hardships of women’s lives. With empathy and depth, Taslima’s writing portrays marginalized voices and the quiet strength of everyday people. She continues to actively contribute to Bengali literature through her evocative storytelling and poetry, connecting readers across cultures with her distinct voice.
