Sujit Kusum Paul, born in 1955 in Chattagram, studied English Literature,  Human Resource Management and Information System Management. He worked as a Feature Editor in Daily ‘Swadhinata’ and joined Pfizer in 1980.

Sujit has been in Toronto since 2006. He has studied Indigenous Canada at the Alberta University. The author of a book on William Butler Yeats’ poetry, Sujit has translated poems of Yeats, Shelley and Atwood. A member of International Yeats Society and Margaret Atwood Society, Sujit talked on Atwood in TIFA, 2021. An editor of the magazines ‘Anjali’ and ‘Neelkomol’, Sujit participated in the Canada Literature Festival (CLF) in 2025.
