Ahmed Hossain, an actor, recitor, director and organizer, is a popular name in the cultural arena of the Bangladeshi-Canadian community. Ahmed has acted in a good number of plays, some remarkable ones are The Tempest, Konjus, Otoppor Horen Mondol, The Royal Bengal Tiger, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alta Banu etc. He has directed several plays on stage as well. The chief organzier and director of the Toronto based theatre group OnnoTheatre Toronto and Onnoshor (recitation group) Toronto, Ahmed has collection of free-form writings named ‘On the Wings of Desire’ to his credit. In addition, he regularly contributes writings to various newspapers, magazines, and souvenir publications.
