Atoar Rahman, poet and storyteller, was born in Rangpur in 1964. He began writing during his student years. After immigrating to Toronto in 2010, he started contributing regularly to the local newspaper Bangla Kagoj. He earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from University of Rajshahi in 1991. Over the years, he has been involved in journalism as well as teaching. His collection of short stories named ‘Japito Jiban’ was published in 2015 in Dhaka. His second short story collection, ‘Modhyorater Shikar’ (Midnight Victim), was published in 2025. Currently Atoar is the Executive Editor of ‘Bangla Kagoj’, Toronto.
