Swapan Kumar Deb, born in 1949, in Sunamganj, Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) earned his B.Sc. and LLB degrees and joined Sunamganj District Bar Association, Bangladesh, in 1974 as a lawyer where he had practiced in the judges court for a long time. Author of five books written in Bengali, Swapan writes travelogues, stories and articles. He writes for many Bengali newspapers and literary magazines. Swapan has been living in Toronto, Canada since October 2018.
