Prasanta Kumar Bhunya

Prabhu is a versatile multilingual writer whose literary expressions flow gracefully through Odia, Hindi, and English. Passionate about articles, stories, poems, fables, and blogs, he beautifully portrays life with elegance and emotional depth.

His writings inspire readers to think, smile, love, and become better human beings. Rooted in social consciousness yet apolitical in spirit, his works reflect themes of science, philosophy, religion, education, and humanity.

A firm believer in “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he is a warm-hearted educator who inspires young minds with love and brotherhood. Though living abroad, his heart remains deeply devoted to Odia language, culture, and Odisha.

Prasanta Bhunya is a distinguished Odia writer, poet, editor, and cultural advocate dedicated to the global promotion of Odia language and heritage. Through platforms such as Ame Odia – Ama Odisha, Prabhu Publications, Saahitya Tungi, and Kathaatie Kahoon, he has inspired literary engagement across the diaspora.

His internationally acclaimed poem “I Am a Girl” brought recognition to Odia literature on global platforms. As editor of OSA’s UTKARSA newsletter and URMI souvenir, he significantly enriched Odia literary culture.

A compiler of Bhima Bhoi’s works and recipient of multiple literary honors, he continues preserving and promoting Odisha’s cultural identity worldwide.
