Born in a tribal reserve in India, Dharmpal is a Toronto-based bilingual author. He has published thirteen books in Hindi, including the novel Immigrant, eight acclaimed collections of satirical essays, and four poetry collections. He has also published an English poetry collection titled Friday Evening.

His work has appeared in numerous national and international literary journals and is included in the curriculum of five Indian universities.

Dharmpal is a proud member of the League of Canadian Poets.
