Ali Kazmi comes from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, being the son of actor Rahat Kazmi and director-actress Sahira Kazmi. He began his career as a child actor in the 1995 TV series Zikr Hai Kai Saal Ka and was already working as a model, dancer, and actor by his early teens. After moving to Toronto in 2008, he expanded his career internationally, appearing in television, films, and stage productions, while also working behind the scenes as a director and producer. Kazmi gained recognition for roles in projects such as Jackson Heights, Sardaar Ji (2015), and Beeba Boys (2015), and won an award for his performance in the short film Coffee at Laundromat. He has also appeared in the TV series Taken (2016) and contributed to films like Dobara Phir Se (2016) , The Breadwinner (2017), Funny Boy(2020) among others. His later work includes the action thriller Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning, released in 2024.
