Kamla Williams has 70 years of life’s experiences, slivers of which would sometimes flow through her fingers and be captured in the forms of simple stories and poignant poems. Her Caribbean heritage co-mingles with her Canadian resettlement to inform and enrich her literary creations. She is also a woman of faith, a follower of Christ, and lives by the tenets of The Serenity Prayer. She allows these aspects of her life to guard and guide her penning. Her writing is usually optimistic and uplifting, especially to young girls.
