Dr. Mamotaz Mamota

Dr. Mamotaz Mamota is a Toronto-based Bangladeshi-born classical vocalist, researcher, and cultural organizer. Trained under eminent maestros in both Bangladesh and India, she has earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Classical Music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, and a Doctorate in Indian Classical Music from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, as an ICCR Scholar.

Founder and CEO of Dhruvapad Performing Arts and Research Centre, Toronto, Mamota has dedicated her time for promoting Bengali culture through training in Classical Music, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, folk music, and dance. Dr. Mamota has also released two Rabindra Sangeet albums with G-Series in 2019.
