Norman Morra

I was born in Toronto, graduated from the University of Toronto and York University with a doctorate in sociology. I have had several careers: social worker, dry cleaning, university teaching in Canada & the U.S., bus driver, ESL teacher, rater of pilots’ English for IATA, and acting. Having different careers, I’ve met people from all corners of society, and it’s these people who inspired my memoir “Beyond the Terrazzo Veranda.” My parents were semi-literate, but my mother, by example, inspired me to express my emotions and thoughts–the essence of memoir writing–and all writing. Presently, I live in a middle-class part of Mississauga and contribute reviews of authors’ works for two writers’ groups: WEN & Courtney Park.
