Ajay Gupta

Ajay Gupta is a versatile Hindi poet and performer, widely recognized for his signature “Hasya Vyang” style. He runs the YouTube channel Ajay’s Nukkad and has also hosted the TV program TASTE IN VIDESH on NJ TV. A dynamic stage show emcee, he has anchored numerous community and cultural events across the GTA.
As a Kavi, Shayar, drama writer, and director, Ajay has made notable contributions to Hindi literature and performing arts. He was honored with the Sahitya Shiromani Award by the International Hindi Samiti. In 2018, he spearheaded the International Hindi Sahityik Sammelan in Toronto, a five-day event that brought together 50 international literary legends.
His creative portfolio includes dramas staged at LTG and Sri Ram Centre, with performances in acclaimed works such as Juloos, Munna, Prithviraj aur Sanyogita, and Agnipareeksha. His writings have appeared in literary magazines including Drashti, Do Akshar, and Hindi Grima.
Ajay has also worked extensively in broadcasting, contributing to multiple AIR Radio shows in India and participating in TV and radio quiz programs. He served as a production assistant with IGNOU TV productions and continues to act as MC for Kavi Sammelans, product launches, book releases, and drama competitions.
After moving to Canada, Ajay has remained deeply engaged with Hindi literary and media groups, and he volunteers actively with community organizations, contributing to cultural upliftment and capacity building.
